THE STORY

About Callie Browning

Callie Browning is an award-winning Barbadian author who was born and raised on the Caribbean island of Barbados. Callie has been writing for as long as she can remember. She’s a staunch believer in preserving Caribbean culture through story-telling and believes that the time is ripe for the region to forge ahead in the orange economy. Her books are a love letter to her island home, chronicling lifestyle, culture and incredible historical events through the fictional eyes of her characters. Callie’s books have been featured by Oprah Daily, The New York Times, Yahoo, In the Know, the Jamaica Gleaner, Hearst LatinX, Medium, the Barbara Bush Foundation and Publisher’s Weekly called one of her short stories “a standout.” Her self-publishing success has led her to create her BluePrint Self-Publishing Crash Course, a one-of-a-kind creative business development programme that guides authors through every aspect of writing, editing, packaging, promoting and self-publishing their work in just six hours over three weeks.
