Yecheilyah Ysrayl

Yecheilyah (e-see-li-yah), a multi-award-winning novelist and poet from Chicago’s South Side (now in Georgia), uses her writing as a catalyst to restore Black historical truth. She is dedicated to uncovering and documenting the rich and often overlooked narratives of African Americans. Born out of a passion for social justice and historical accuracy, Yecheilyah’s work challenges historical erasure and promotes a more inclusive understanding of the past.
