WE ARE

WHERE EVERY WORD MATTERS AND EVERY STORY COUNTS
An initiative focused on amplifying and celebrating the narratives of Black and Brown authors. We are a platform dedicated to combatting the systematic erasure of these voices from the literary world.
Write
To preserve history and voice. Every word written by a Black author is an act of defiance against erasure—a brick laid in the foundation of our legacy.
Connect
To encourage unity and collaboration. When Black writers come together, the resonance of their collective voice reshapes the literary landscape.
Empower
To uplift individual narratives. We believe every writer of color has a unique story with the power to enlighten, inspire, and transform perspectives.

WHAT IS BLACK REWRITE?
Amplifying Black Literary Voices
Black Rewrite recognizes the importance of diverse storytelling and the rich experiences that Black and Brown authors bring to literature. We provide a space for these writers to share their work—serving as both an educational resource and a catalyst for change in the global literary landscape.
Through featuring authors in spotlight series, hosting writing workshops, and providing promotional opportunities, Black Rewrite aims to break down barriers that have historically silenced these voices.
Our StoryOUR MISSION
“We are the owners of our pen, and our narratives. This ownership is our strength, our uniqueness, and our way of shaping the world through words.”
— Nikky Y., Founder
Black REwrite’s mission is to counteract the systematic erasure of our profound history and the banning of our books. We are dedicated to amplifying Black literary voices by offering tailored courses for individuals and institutions, fostering growth and understanding.
We aspire to forge strategic partnerships with renowned publishing companies and literary agents, bridging the gap between raw talent and the global literary stage—serving as a catalyst for our community’s voices to find their rightful platforms.
